Thanks to all who have been giving me words of encouragement and support. I did not except this type of response.
I am happy that the USOC has reached out to the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and this issue will be presented at the next meeting behind held at the end of this month, June 26th in Penang, Malaysia.
Hopefully there will be a solution that will both adhere to the rules of the sport and religious dress. This would increase the diversity of those who can participate in the sport.
